====== Instructions for TourMaker HUD ====== Back to guidedtour page

Just wear the HUD.

  • Click on Clear to clear any previous work if needed
  • Go to your tour starting point
  • Start to chat your commentary
  • Move to the first tour point, not too far from starting point and check that starting point is visible from there.
  • Click on add waypoint , it will beep to tell you that position and direction are saved when taking the tour, the vehicle will move to that position
  • A second parameter is recorded: a point 20m ahead of you in the direction your looking at. That info will be used if you later set tilt or rot parameter to “cam”
  • Continue typing your comments and move to steps of your tour every time you save another position by clicking the HUD add waypoint a red cone will rez always check that precedent red cone is visible from next step otherwise your tour may collide with objects in the way. Phantom objects like trees do not count.
  • When arrived at the end of the tour and last position stored just click on “save”

the HUD will tell you a weblink to your tour on the web. open link, and copy-paste text to a notecard

I suggest you rename this notecard “english”. You can later copy it and translate it in other languages. Notecard name is only relevant when you put more than one notecard in your vehicle to give riders a choice of tours or languages. In that case, names must be short to appear in a menu.

You can now detach the HUD from yourself. Memory is not cleared and you can later wear it again to continue tour.

Just put the notecard into the vehicle (called Guide) Then put that Guide into the guided tour base

Zoffset n.nnAdd value n.nn meters to altitude of all future points you store, usefull if you want to setup a tour by walking and have your tour fly 2m above ( Zoffset 2.00 ) cancel with Zoffset 0.0
Zforce nn.nnForces a LOCKED Z axis value (for making Boat Tours mainly)(Zforce 20.243)

Each time you add waypoint, two <x,y,z> coordinates are saved first is where the guide will go during tour, second is lookat meters away in the direction your camera is looking when you touch, if in 'cam' mode guide will point toward that point during the ride. 20m is default
