Guided Tour System
V5.4 Marketplace
Allow visitors of your sim to sit on vehicles that will take them to a tour while telling them information
Package
Available only on MarketPlace this system comes organized in sub-folders for better clarity
- GTS base, GTS chair and Tourmaker HUD is all you need to create your fist test tour

Your first tour

- using the menu button on it, do a clear to empty any previous use data
- Go where your tour will start. move 5-15m away and click on hud (not on menu nor on clock).
- you hear a bip
- a red cone appears where you are, pointing on the direction your camera was when you clicked
- one waypoint has been recorded
- You may say something in local chat. It will also be recorded and whispered to riders on the way to the point you just recorded
- Move to your next point. When going straight you don't need to make many intermediate points
- look back to make sure there is no solid obstacle between previous point and you
- look forward and click HUD again for next point
- keep doing so till the end of your tour. For a first test don't make it too long
- If you cross region border, do it slowly. The hud will automatically add the commands for it
- in menu, do a save. You will get a web link
- open the link and copy all that text to paste it in a new notecard

- you can detach the hud now

- Edit vehicle and add the notecard to it's content
- Change vehicle name to not confuse it with vehicule without notecard
- take vehicle back in inventory
- A vehicle can contain more than one notecard. In that case riders will get a choice menu when they sit
- that way you can have different tours or tours with comments in different languages
- names of notecards will be the menu buttons. Keep them short

- Edit the base and add the modified vehicle to it's content
- Vehicle (a copy of) should shortly appear over the base
- edit vehicle to position it where you like and pointing toward first waypoint
- Click on base and select “save pos” so it will remember where to rez vehicle

- Sit on vehicle and enjoy your first tour
Enhance your tour
- With lots of special commands you can add in your notecard
- $,speed,xx, to change speed during ride
- $,engine,2, to switch to an engine that can go through walls $,engine,1, to switch back
- sound playing commands
- $,pause,xx to pause tour for xx sec
- $,give,object to give something to your passengers
- Vehicle has a menu for you and your helpers. you access it by clicking while on tour or by shift-click and select touch.
- START the tour
- Step Mode to make your tour stop and ask after every line
- Debug to turn on debug mode
- Get notes let a helper get copies of the notecards
- Allow drop let a helper drop more notecards to test them
- Options lets you change vehicle default settings. Don't forget to save back vehicle into base after you changed any
- speed default speed
- tilt default tilt option: no, point or cam
- rot default tilt option: no, point or cam
- autostart does the tour start when seated: 1 or not: 0
- select menu query if more than one tour notecard
- massfact changes vehicle rotation inertia
- strength changes vehicle rotation inertia
- damp changes vehicle rotation inertia
Promote your tour
- There is a free Teleport HUD that promotes public accessible tours
- You can give it out and
- Your tour can be on it!
- All you need is to rez tour promoter close to your tour start and provide a photo. The promoter will register your tour in the HUD database and all HUDs will show it soon. It will also give the HUD when clicked
