IMPORTANT Security is made of two objects

• In Home Security (copy mod) you own and that does most of the job.
  • It contains a notecard for defaults parameters that normally don't need to be modified almost everything is done via the orb menu.
  • If you use the security for sub-tenants you can modify the notecard to your preferred defaults and add co-owners. When a tenant leaves you just reset all from menu.
• Land Ejector (copy trans) that must have same owner as the land and does the eject job. So if your land is group owned, deed that object to group or share it then ask a group officer to deed it. Only ONE Ejector is needed per owner on a region even if you use several securities

The system uses a technique to protect from intrusions above the device to a height you define. This allows making more precise protected zone than by a scan range or protecting the whole parcel.

As delivered it's two prims. The control orb and a floor. to install, place the floor just below your house and resize it using edit linked to fit the footprint of your house. Then move the control orb where you want.

You can add more prims to define a more complex protected area but the control orb must always stay the root prim. (select it last when you link)

When someone enters the protected area this will be detected after a few seconds. If not on residents or managers lists, action will be taken OR, if any manager/resident around they will get a dialog to choose if they accept the guest. If none accepts within a delay, action is taken.

Action can be

• eject
• tp to home
• ban from parcel
• tp home+ban

It classes avatars in 5 categories

• pending An avatar just arrived and waiting for a manager or a resident to accept entry
• guest An accepted avatar, allowed in zone for a limited time
• resident An avatar always allowed in and optionally that can accept entry of guests
• manager Have limited access to menu
• owner have full access to menu. Owner is considered manager when in the zone. Add yourself also as manager if you need to get guest acceptance requests from outside the protected zone

Orb has a menu for basic functions for owners and managers

• Close to close this menu
• Add Resident to add one of the present guests or anyone by it's UUID as resident.
• Add Manager to add one of the present guests or anyone by it's UUID as manager
• Remove to remove someone from residents and managers lists
• List Guests to get a list of present guests
• Del Guest to eject a guest
• Visible toggle visibility between invisible - visible - visible with overtext
• Height to enter height above the device you want to protect
• List to get a listing of all managers and residents
• Off to turn off security
• Params see below

Params brings another menu for rarely changed parameters

That menu shows you one of the parameters with name, value and description. Managers and Owners can access it and see settings but some settings are changeable only by Owners

• HELP brings you here
• « « displays previous parameter
• » » displays next parameter
• Change to change the value of this parameter. becomes Ask Owner if you can't change that parameter
• following acts on all parameters, not only the one displayed. available only to owners
• Reset Params to RESET all the parameters to default values but not the list of managers and residents
• Reset Residents to RESET the list of residents. usefull for rented homes as you can add the tenant as manager, he can add residents himself. When he leaves you reset residents and just remove him,
• Reset ALL to RESET all parameters and clear the managers/residents list. only owner will remain in list
  • defaults notecard defines the settings applied when you reset Params or Reset ALL. you can modify it if you know what you're doing
  • MOST PARAMETERS CAN BE ADJUSTED USING MENU. Modification of the defaults via notecard apply only after a RESET ALL
  • you can add “co-owners” by editing the defaults notecard and add for each one a line in it like this one. (replace UUID by uuid of co-owner) co-owners will be added after a reset

• When rezzed the ejector will tell you if it needs to be deeded to land group. Once deeder it will remember you are its ex-owner and work only with securities you own
• If you install several securities on same region you only need one ejector.
• When owner clicks on the Land Ejector, you get a menu
  • Delete to delete the ejector. Even deeded
  • Log to list ejections
  • Clear to clear ejections list
  • Ban time to set a ban duration time. set 0 for permanent ban. useful if you set your renters securities to ban
